Snow Day

We got lots of snow today.  It was supposed to be a blizzard and I guess it was, but it never got too bad.  We've had electricity and water and the wind has been high, but not horrible.  We've stayed put though.  I'm sure for anyone who had to get out, it was not good.  This afternoon when the wind had died down some, Jason, Cole, and Connor went out to play.  Here are some fun pics from their fun,

And, Molly doesn't like the snow too much.  She had her first accident indoors.  We're hoping it's just due to the weather.  She's already part of the family.  Connor wanted her to nap with him today, Caleb's been giving her kisses, and Cole loves playing fetch with her.  She's been so great!

Our New Baby Girl

Miss-Molly-web
Isn't she adorable?  We adopted Molly from the local animal shelter today.  I fell in love right away.  She is 4-6 months old, a Shar Pei mix, and a perfect size for our family.  She has been so great with the boys already, playful, but calm, and very sweet.  I took a bunch of pictures of her playing with the boys outside, but apparently I wasn't moving fast enough, because most of them are of her backside, which I figured you all didn't really want to see ;). I'll have to try to get some more of her with them later this week.  Caleb's been following her everywhere saying "dog, dog."  Connor has been making sure she has her new toys constantly, and Cole is just beside himself. He's been calling her Miss Molly and telling everyone about her.

Spring Break has Sprung

Most of my neices and nephews are here with my sister, my brother, mom and dad.  We've been having lots of fun already.  Here's some of pics of some of the things we've done so far from Bible time last night to craft time & our walk to the park this morning and then ice cream and swimming at the hotel this afternoon.

Trying Digital Scrapbooking

I've fought getting into digi scrapping thinking I wouldn't really like it, but since my scrap space has gotten smaller, I thought I'd give it a try and I'm loving it.  I created the 2 pages below this week and had fun doing so.  I'm still learning and just signed up for a class over at GetItScrapped!.  I already learned some new things tonight.  The best part of going digital is there is no clean up ;)

Cole's First Family Portrait

IMG_8039-webCole just brought this picture he drew while his brothers are sleeping. He loves doing art when they are not around to bother him, especially Caleb who likes to get in the middle of it.

I love the picture! It's our family.  He said Daddy is the brown one, Mommy is the red one (oh, and he put a hat on me, he said ;) ), Caleb is the green one, Connor is the pink one, and he is the blue one. He also made a frame for the picture, which cracks me up.  He is so proud of this and it's already displayed on the wall of fame (our fridge door, of course).
