Some cards & a layout

Img_2318 Here are 2 cards I made using sketches from Lucy Chesna at mysketchworld.blogspot.com.  These are from sketches made for Img_2316Sassy Scrappers Grand Opening Celebration.  They have lots of fun challenges going on over there all month, which has been great for me since I've needed something to get me going.

Then, this is a layout for my DT work at Triple the Sketch. This a picture of Cole from three years ago when we first moved to Sketch2loBorger.  In fact, he is playing in the boxes as I was unpacking them.  I can't believe  it's been three years already.  Time flies when you're having fun, right? ;) As always, thanks for looking!

Having fun in Chicago!

We are having lots of fun in Chicago this week! The conference is awesome! The weather stinks, but that has affected us too much.  I feel like all we've been doing though is sitting and eating.  I'll probably be 10 pounds heavier when we leave here tomorrow.

We've heard some awesome speakers at Shift so far. We really enjoyed Mark Yaconelli and Shane Claiborn.  You need to check out their sites, especially if you work with students.

We dedicate this child...

Img_2263Yesterday was Caleb's Baby Dedication at church.  It was a special day for us! We took some pictures as a family and then took Cole and Connor back to the nursery.  I didn't think they would do well on stage at church.  Caleb was a little ham during the dedication.  I love the whole idea of the baby dedication saying to your church family you do all you can to raise up this child in the ways of the Lord.  How awesome!

Silly guys

This is a fun layout with a picture of my dad and Cole a couple of Img_2282years ago.  I have tons of pictures of the 2 of them and this is the first one I've scrapped.  I could do an entire album about the 2 of them.  This layout is based on a sketch by Becky Fleck for the the Grand Opening Celebration over at Sassy Scrappers.

My first mini -album

I worked on this mini-album last weekend and finished it up this morning.  It was fun! I don't why I never did one before.  And yes, the last 2 pages look out of order, but I accidentally scrapped them upside-down.  But hey this is supposed to be about my life right now and it's a little upside at times. :)

For all you scrappers out there, if you haven't done any mini albums, I encourage to do one.  It was lots of fun!
